Composing a HTTP POST request with Fiddler debugging proxy

Fiddler has a neat HTTP request builder included with it. When making POST requests, you need to do the following.

  • On the parsed tab, select POST as the type
  • Enter the URL
  • Add the request header Content-type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded
  • Add the required form data to the request body, foo=bar&key=value
  • Execute!
